Cleaning Ceremony
Spring Commencement takes place on February 4, 2026. For pre-spring Cleaning Ceremony, here are recommended auspicious times to hold your ritual.
Prepare a bowl of yin yang water (half hot water + half cold water) in a bowl. If you want this water to be extra lucky, add pomelo or mandarin leaves.
Soak a cleaning cloth in the yin yang water and wipe all doorways in a clockwise direction.
If you had a particularly rough year and want to do a deep cleanse, gather all your fengshui arrangements, wipe them down with yin yang water, cover them with a red cloth, open the windows, and light incense.
After the incense is done burning and all the negative energy from the previous year is neutralized, place the items in the appropriate energetic space for the new year.
For fengshui harmony to be effective, it is imperative to keep you living area and work spaces clean, tidy, and free from clutter. Having too many stray objects, knick knacks, or trash around may invite scattered energy and prevents fortune from flowing in.
